Book Design
China is rapidly entering an aging society, with the number of disabled elderly projected to reach 96 million by 2050. To alleviate the growing pressure on social eldercare, the Fushoukang team initiated the creation of an illustrated encyclopedia aimed at providing accessible and practical caregiving guidance for those in need.
My Role
Communicating closely with caregiving professionals to identify key needs and translate complex, specialized caregiving knowledge into clear and easy-to-understand illustrations;
Independently creating and designing over 1,000 illustrations to ensure the content is both intuitive and visually engaging.
Results
The book consists of 12 chapters, divided into two volumes with a total of 276 pages, over 70,000 words, and more than 1,000 illustrations corresponding to the text. By streamlining processes and maintaining efficient communication, we successfully shortened the project timeline from 12 months to 7 months. Upon publication, the book received widespread acclaim, and at the launch event, readers expressed that it is an exceptionally practical reference.
